Pete Rose: In or Out

If you’re a baseball fan you know all about Babe Ruth, Ted Williams, Willie Mays, Joe DiMaggio, Jackie Robinson, and Pete Rose. In that list who is the odd one out? I hope you said, Pete Rose because he is the only one not in the Hall Of Fame. Now, If you’re still a baseball fan you will know exactly why he’s not in Cooperstown, he gambled on baseball.

You ask, So what? I’m here to tell you to let him in! I have good reason’s for it too. Pete Rose was a player and a manager for the Cincinnati Reds in the 70’s and 80’s. He was the hit king beating Ty Cobb for the most ever hits. Then, when he was a manager he got kicked out forever. He had bet on his own team. So, did you catch that? He bet as a manager so they could still put him in as a player. Plus, there are people who took steroids that are in the hall of fame. To add more on, he never bet on his team to lose. It wasn’t like the 1919 White Sox who blew the World Series on purpose.

You may also the remember 1970 All-Star Game and remember Pete Rose barreling over Ray Fosse and say “No one that’s that evil should be in the Hall of Fame” and assuming you weren’t lying when you said you were a baseball fan, I respond “Ty cobb is in the Hall of Fame.” Chew on that for a bit.

Dreamboard

I want to live life to the fullest. I want to take every chance I have to fulfill my dreamboard. Step 1 is never do drugs. If I do drugs that’s not fulfilling my life, that’s ruining it. Step 2, Many people want to go places and I’m no different. I want to go to Paris and go to a Browns game because I’m a huge Browns fan. On that note, Step 3, I want to live to see the Browns win the Superbowl. Also, I want to live to see the 22nd century. Lastly, I want to be an eagle scout and an architect or lawyer.

I think to achieve all this I need to have empathy, flexibility, persistence, resilience, and optimism. These are the mindset stances. Most importantly of all of them are persistence and resilience because if you give up on something you will never achieve it. The hardest stance is persistence because if you fail a lot you want to quit. I think Thomas Edison had a lot of persistence and if he didn’t have that we would still be using gas lamps. If you have empathy you’re loving but you are naive. If you are flexible you are helpful but you are busy. If you have persistence you won’t stop but you could hurt yourself. If you are resilient you are proud but you think your better than others. If your optimistic you are happy but just like with empathy you are naive.

If I choose a stance to describe myself it would have to be resilience and optimism. Resilience because I’m proud of myself. And optimism because I always think the Browns will be better.😜 I enjoy the simple life of youtube, boy scouts, sports, and playing outside with my friends. I enjoy baseball and watching football on Sundays with my dad.

I am always working to improve myself. When people hear my name I want them to say “Oh, he’s a nice guy.” I’m always working on school work and I want to continue improving that.

That’s what’s important in life. Always have big dreams and always remember what life is about.
